Good News! Peter Pan will be staged in January!
Well, well, – you came up trumps and attended the interest meeting in droves. Thank you, thank you!
Hayley Carpenter, who is normally to be found on stage as one of the main characters, is relinquishing the greasepaint and sparkly costumes to become our director this season. As you read this she has already auditioned and chosen her large and diverse cast; from grumpy mermaids and comedic pirates to magical, flying fairies, talking dogs, and everything in between.
This panto is going to be a fantastic feast for the senses and a real treat for all ABBA fans, as many songs will be included in the production, some adapted and parodied by Hayley herself to suit the storyline. We are blessed with multi-talented members of our company. To be sure, to be sure.
So, all the cast has been chosen and the first read-troughs are underway. Ah, you will have missed joining in on stage with us this year.
But never, never fear! There may be another way for you to join in.
One of our very valued committee members has reluctantly had to step down, which means that we have a VACANCY. If you would like to help steer our society, please get in touch by using one of the routes below. We’d love to welcome you aboard.
But that’s not all. We are also in need of someone who enjoys tinkling about on social media to help us manage our presence on various platforms, keeping us current and up to date. If this is something you think you could help with we would be most grateful. This could be an arms-length opportunity, meaning that you needn’t attend meetings- unless of course, you wanted to, in which case you would be most welcome!
