IPPLEPEN BOWLING CLUB Re-opens
Following the Government’s relaxation on a lot of Covid 19 rules, our Club RE-OPENED on Saturday 4th July, having been in lockdown since 13th March.
Naturally there are a lot of things that have had to change – and firstly to make sure we obey social distancing, it means we can only play on two rinks with a maximum of eight players on the entire green. Members are therefore asked to book a date and time slot with me (being the club secretary) in order that I can make sure the number of players are controlled, and because I have to keep a record of everyone who has played (and with who) over a two week period in case I am asked this information through the track and trace system.
The restrictions are quite substantial, including all the sanitization, and many new rulings having to be adhered to which is going to take players a few games to get used to, It however makes bowling more challenging, but as those who have already played have said, it is good to be able to get back on the green again, for exercise and a chance to get out and play a game we love with our fellow members and friends.
