The Mare and Foal Sanctuary are so proud of the work we do in providing care and preventing cruelty and suffering among horses and ponies. We do lots of work in providing temporary or permanent homes for the horses and ponies in our care.

The Mare and Foal Sanctuary was founded in 1988 and in 1992 the sanctuary became a registered charity and have since found loving homes for hundreds of foals, ponies, and horses.
We rescue foals, ponies, and horses from all over the South West and South Wales our horses come to us for a number of reasons, and last year we took in more than 20 animals from Bodmin moor as they did not have enough grazing or their owners could not be traced.

We also do Rehabilitation this often takes a lot of gentle persuasion and patience because they are often scared or unsure of what will happen. Rehoming a horse from the Mare and Foal centre is easy! simply follow our five steps step 1one complete our online Loan Application Form. Our Equine team is always at the end of the phone to offer help and guidance.
