The works are scheduled to commence on Tuesday 26th May 2026 and is anticipated to be completed by Saturday 4th July 2026.
The Skatepark build area will be segregated to the general public by Heras temporary security fencing.
Please do not allow anyone to enter the build area whilst the works are taking place.
We will let you know when the official opening day is, so please keep an eye out.

HMP Channings Wood Expansion Project
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to formally notify you of forthcoming construction activities associated with the HMP Channings Wood Expansion Project. My name is Clinton Williams, and I am responsible for overseeing Logistics for the scheme.
Commencing in mid‑February, and continuing for an estimated duration of 12-16 weeks, essential works will be undertaken to the north of the existing prison facility, outside the secure perimeter. In order to carry out these works, there will be a requirement for one to two construction‑related vehicle movements per day.
Our project operates under an established Traffic Management Plan, which prescribes the approved delivery route from the prison’s main entrance to 2 Mile Oak. As illustrated below (with the work area indica
