Saplings Pre-School

Saplings is a caring, safe, healthy, and stimulating learning environment for children entrusted in our care, ensuring that their time with us is enjoyable and fun. We have a Toddler group, Breakfast Club and After School Club.

At Saplings we aim to provide a caring, safe, healthy, and stimulating learning environment for children entrusted in our care, ensuring that their time with us is enjoyable and fun. We are based in the Millennium Centre, and have exclusive use of the building during our opening hours. We have a large indoor space with areas for role play, messy play, floor-based and table-based activities as well as a story room for quiet moments.

We have a fully enclosed outside play area with climbing equipment on a safety surface, a large cover area, a playhouse along with a bike, and a scooter area. We also have our own direct access to the village park which we use on a regular basis. We are governed by the United Schools Federation Board of Governors. We have good links with Ipplepen Primary School and the transition programme to support children’s entry to the school. We also have links with other primary schools in the area and aim to support your child’s transition wherever they choose to move on to.

Session Times

Term Times for children from 2½ until they start primary school:

Morning – 9.00 – 12.00
Afternoon – 12.00 – 3.00 (excluding Wednesdays)
We provide morning and afternoon snacks and unlimited fresh water. Please provide a packed lunch if attending lunchtime or afternoon sessions.

Toddler group: Wednesday 1.30 – 3.00pm.
Breakfast Club: 8.00 – 9.00am*
After School Club: 3.00 – 6.00pm*

* We incorporate Ipplepen Primary School children during these sessions
